University of Jammu
Established on September 5, 1969, under the Jammu and Kashmir Universities Act, 1969, the University of Jammu has emerged as one of India's leading higher education institutions. It has earned an ‘A++’ accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in its 4th Cycle (2024) with an impressive CGPA of 3.72. The University of Jammu ranked 51st under the University Category in NIRF 2025 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and 21st among State Public Universities.
The University operates from its main campus at Bahu Wali Rakh (spread across 118.78 acres) and an old campus 4 km away. Additionally, it has seven off-site campuses located in Bhaderwah, Kathua, Kishtwar, Poonch, Ramnagar, Reasi, and Udhampur. With 40 teaching departments and 164 affiliated colleges, the University offers more than 60 undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs, as well as around 40 PhD programmes under the faculties of Arts, Sciences, Social Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Education, Business Studies, and Law. These programmes are dedicated to delivering robust teaching, learning, and research.
The University stands for inculcating spiritual and material elements in life, fostering a thirst for knowledge and virtue against the backdrop of the holy peaks of the Trikuta Hills. International Centre for Cross-Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR& HRM), University of Jammu was established in the University of Jammu (India) under the aegis of Faculty of Business Studies (erstwhile Faculty of Management Studies) in the year 2008 with its mission as 'developing people with ultimate flexibility'. The vision of the Centre is to be a Centre of excellence in cross-cultural research and human resource management through teaching, learning, research, and mentorship, including providing quality and value-based international business education to nurture business leaders with a global outlook and becoming a valued and preferred choice in pursuing international business and cross-cultural management research and education.
The Centre offers various programs, including MBA (International Business), PhD in International Business, Post Graduate Diploma in Composite Culture Management, and other value-added courses.
